THE STRANGLERS - Catch Up review

GIG: The Stranglers
DATE: Saturday 28th March 2015
VENUE: 02 Academy, 121 Eglinton Street, Glasgow
COST: £23.50
OUR VERDICT: Middle Aged Punk lives

The venue was filled with bald middle aged men, sporting faded tatoos and drinking beer from plastic cups! You knew that back in the day they had mohicans!

The party got underway just as we got through the door, 80's band The Rezillos were thundering through their energetic fast paced, pop punk set. They were a great support for The Stranglers, getting the audience in the mood. For their last song, four men in drag came on to dance in the background - The Stranglers having a bit of fun!

The Rezillos

When The Stranglers took to the stage, there was a tremendous cheer. We got a full set of back catalogue whcih was tremendous. It was sad to see that Jet Black had not been able to make the gig due to his on-going health issues.
